The world is facing a twofold challenge nowadays: stimulating the growth that is necessary to provide employment and well-being for the people of the world and, at the same time ensuring that the quality of such growth leads to a sustainable future. This requires a fundamental transformation of the economy in a sustainable way, which creates a good balance ecological, economic and social aspects. Especially, this implies political activities that explicitly consider the interrelationship between the economy, the environment and the society and that are politically enforceable.

The research project Bioeconomy as a Social Process focuses on an innovative modelling of the behaviour of relevant political actors, including not only voters but also governmental and non-governmental organizations.
The central objective of the project is to identify interactions between climate change, population growth, international climate and energy policies, agricultural policies and national development policies on the one hand, and socio-political adaptation processes on the other.
For the corresponding empirical analysis, the political goals and positioning of the relevant social groups are needed. We collect these by means of expert surveys with relevant institutions and stakeholder groups, including your organization.
